How the information on this website is produced
Irish Nonprofits Knowledge Exchange (INKEx) re-publishes company documents on this website which it sources from the Companies Registration Office (CRO).  Under the provisions of the Companies Acts, these documents are in the public domain.  They are provided here on irishnonprofits.ie in order to promote public understanding and knowledge about the work of Irish nonprofit companies. We provide this service on a ‘best efforts’ basis:  the files published here are as received by the CRO, but they may have been subsequently withdrawn.  Wherever amended files are lodged, it is the policy of Irish Nonprofits Knowledge Exchange to update its own records, and this website.

Memorandum and Articles of Association
INKEx acquires these documents from the CRO. Once received, they are scanned,  and an extract of the printed text (the clause describing the legal objects or purpose of the company) is converted electronically from typewritten information into machine-encoded text. This is stored in our database and published on the relevant page on each nonprofit’s micro website. The process of text recognition and display can occasionally result in transcription errors. It is the policy of INKEx to correct such errors as soon as they are brought to our attention.  Please contact info@irishnonprofits.ie.

Audited financial statements
It is the responsibility of every company limited by guarantee to file a set of full audited financial statements with the CRO annually no later than a specified date (their Annual Return Date).  Companies limited by guarantee, which are considered to be public companies under the provisions of the Companies Acts, are not permitted to file abridged financial statements.

INKEx acquires these documents from the CRO once they are filed, and re-keys the contents of the income and expenditure statement, the balance sheet, and the notes to the accounts into the Irish Nonprofits Database.  A summary of the data from the most recently-filed financial statements is published on irishnonprofits.ie. INKEx takes great care in mapping financial data into its database, however errors may occur from time to time.  It is the policy of INKEx to correct these without delay: please contact info@irishnonprofits.ie.
